Orion Node Details page slow to load due to AD Domain Controller Polling Details resource from UDT

Why is my Node Details page slow to load? Hubble indicates that the AD Domain Controller Polling Details resource is taking a long time to load.

The Node Details page is slow to load.

The investigation using Hubble shows that the AD Domain Controller Polling Details resource is taking over 60 seconds to load.

  • This issue applies to all Orion versions with UDT installed

Cause

AD Domain Controller Polling Details resource is taking over 60 seconds to load.

Resolution

  • Remove the AD Domain Controller Polling Details resource from the view as it is not required since the user is not polling AD DCs using UDT.
  • How to remove AD Domain Controller Polling Details resource
  1. Navigate to the Node Details view where you see the issue.
  2. Click on the pencil in the top left to customize the page

  1. Locate the resource and click on the 'X' symbol

  1. Click Remove

  1. Once the resource is removed you can click on 'DONE EDITING' in the top right of the page.
