Orion Platform
Orion Maps or Intelligent Maps connection line breakpoints (curve anchors) move or reappear after saving in SolarWinds Platform 2025.1, 2025.2 and 2025.4
In SolarWinds Orion Maps or Intelligent Maps, a known bug exists where connection line breakpoints (curve anchors) shift or reappear after being deleted when a map is saved, resulting in the loss of custom connection shapes. This behavior has appeared in multiple 2025.x versions (including 2025.1, 2025.2, and 2025.4).

Overview
In SolarWinds Orion Maps or Intelligent Maps, connection lines between objects can shift after the map is saved. The breakpoints (curve anchors) on those lines may:
-
Move to different positions (the line shape changes), or
-
Reappear after being deleted, so that breakpoint removals are not preserved.
Symptom:
You may be affected if you experience one or more of the following behaviors:
In Orion Maps or Intelligent Maps, after adjusting connection lines by moving or deleting breakpoints (curve anchors) and then saving the map:
- The curve anchors shift or become distorted.
- Breakpoints you deleted reappear after saving.
- The connection line shape does not match what you configured before saving.

Resolution
To resolve this problem, please upgrade to SolarWinds Platform 2026.1 and above. If upgrade is not possible, please try the temporary workaround:
- Add a temporary (random) map object to the map.
- Delete all breakpoints (curve anchors) you want to remove, one by one.
- Delete the temporary object that you added in step 1.
- Save the map.
