Cause

This occurs when credentials have not been added to the VMAN appliance for a Vcenter service account, ESX root account or HyperV host.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the VMAN appliance console.
  2. Go to Setup > Credentials.
  3. Add a credential for the Data source that you plan to monitor with VMAN. This could be a Vcenter, ESX or HyperV host.
  4. Go to Setup > Data sources. The option will now be available.
  5. Verify that the collection jobs under the 'Collection Schedules' are enabled.
