Offline installer crashes on Windows Server 2012 R2

When using the offline installer to install Orion Platform 2020.2 on Windows Server 2012 R2, the installer crashes due to the default Powershell version. Install Powershell 5 or later and re-run the offline installer.

When using the offline installer to install Orion Platform 2020.2 on Windows Server 2012 R2, the installer crashes. To resolve the issue, install Powershell 5 or later and re-run the offline installer.

The offline installer for Orion Platform 2020.2 requires Powershell 5 or later.

Resolution

Download Powershell 5 or later.

Log in to the Windows Server 2012 R2 where you want to install Orion Platform 2020.2. Install the downloaded Powershell.
Restart the server.
Re-run the offline installer.

The offline installer issue is resolved.
