Overview

This article discusses not receiving the Interface information on a device in NPM.
You may be experiencing one of the following scenarios:

I am not receiving the Interface information on a device.
SNMP is working fine but is not receiving Interface information.

Example devices: Fortinet, Enterasys, Extreme, Bluecoat, IBM ASC, AS/400 ("IBM iSeries"), IBM Mainframe, AC6005, Avaya, Aruba, Huawei, APC, Cisco 867 and others.

See What object IDs (OIDs) does NPM poll for interface information to determine the interface-related OIDs that NPM polls by default.

If your device does not respond to any of the listed OIDs values, NPM will not be able to display any Interface information. In this case you will need to create a Universal Device Poller (see How to Create a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) in NPM) to poll the information you want.
