Nodes polled using Node Details device pollers are not rediscovered

When you create a Node Detail device poller with the Automatically poll nodes during network discovery... option enabled, the details pollers are disabled after discovery results are reimported.

Overview

NPM Discovery Jobs are reverting the preferred custom pollers we created/assigned for nodes for a specific SysObject (OID) reverting back to using the Standard Solarwinds "Node Details" poller.

Cause

Device Studio pollers are subordinate to SolarWinds native pollers. When you choose to use the Device Studio poller, you disable the SolarWinds native poller and the Device Studio poller does not take over.

Resolution

In the Device Studio "Node Detail" poller, ensure that Automatically poll nodes during network discovery... is not selected.
Recreate all Discovery Profiles and use only the new profiles to import Discovery results.
From the Manage Pollers page, verify that the Device Studio "Node Detail" poller is assigned and Enabled on your nodes.

If you are not willing to recreate all Discovery Profiles, you can remove discovered "Node Detail" Device Studio pollers.
