Node status is Warning or Critical in Orion Platform

Node is in warning/critical, all child objects are green. Why is the node warning? Why is the node Critical?

Overview

Orion node shows warning status for no apparent reason.

Checking all child objects show no cause to the status being in warning/critical.

Resolution

Check all child objects of the node that are able to bring a node into warning status.

CPU
memory
response time
packet loss
volume status - are you receiving volume statistics?
interface status - are you receiving interface statistics?
application - are there any applications polled on this node that have warning/critical status?

You may also upgrade to NPM version 2020.2.1 and later version as this issue should be fixed in that version:

If you're unable to find a child object that is causing an issue, unmanage the node and manage once more right away. This has been known to fix warning status stuck on nodes.
