Overview

After installing the Orion agent on IBM AIX server/s, you may find an error under Application Connections widget:

'NODE_NAME has issues with agent'

Cause

Application Dependency polling is enabled on IBM AIX server/s where it is not supported.

Agent plug-ins collect data about dependencies between applications (application-to-application connections) and/or nodes (application-to-node connections). It is available in Linux x64, Linux x86, and Windows versions.

Resolution

Disable Application Dependency polling on affected IBM AIX servers

Click Settings > Manage Nodes.
Locate and select the affected node/s, and click Edit Properties.
Uncheck 'Application Dependency Polling Enabled' tickbox under Application Connection Settings
Hit Submit for the changes to take effect.
