Overview

If the Network Discovery wizard does not find expected interfaces for devices with active interfaces, verify provided SNMP credentials, discovery settings, and devices on the Discovery Ignore list.

Product section

Network Performance Monitor

Cause

This can occur because of one or more of the following reasons:

  • The SNMP credentials for the devices were incorrect.
  • The Ignore nodes that only respond to ICMP (ping) option under Network Discovery > Discovery Settings view is not selected, and the devices discovered are ICMP-only with no interfaces.
  • The nodes discovered do not currently have any actively operational interfaces.

Resolution

  1. Verify the following:
  2. Re-run Network Discovery.
