Overview
Product section
Cause
This can occur because of one or more of the following reasons:
- The SNMP credentials for the devices were incorrect.
- The Ignore nodes that only respond to ICMP (ping) option under Network Discovery > Discovery Settings view is not selected, and the devices discovered are ICMP-only with no interfaces.
- The nodes discovered do not currently have any actively operational interfaces.
Resolution
- Verify the following:
- The discovery criteria do not exclude the devices on which you expect to find interfaces. See Discover your network with the Discovery Wizard and Minimize SNMP processing load during discoveries using the Discovery Ignore List.
- All interfaces are fully operational.
- Re-run Network Discovery.
See Advanced discovery using SolarWinds NPM for tips how you can optimize discovering your network.
