Overview

Cause
- Statistics boxes weren’t checked on the interface when doing a list resource.
- If a device does not provide us with this string of OIDs (1.3.6.1.2.1), then data or information will not be available on the Web Console.
Resolution
- Go to Manage Nodes page
- Look for the Node and click on it to navigate to Node Details Page.
- Under the Management widget look for List Resource
- Check the checkbox of the interface you've wanted to monitor
- On the left side of the interface click the arrow to expand, make sure interface is exactly the same with the image.
- Click submit and wait for about 9 minutes since it is the default polling interval where interface statistics are being collected.
Resolution 2:
- Run an SNMP walk on the device that does not provide information: SolarWinds SNMP Walk: A new tool for collecting SNMP MIB walks .
- Investigate the SNMP walk and check if the device provides us with OIDs starting with 1.3.6.1.2.1.
- If the device does not provide the said OIDs, contact the device vendor and ask them if the device can be reconfigured to provide these OIDs.
- Data should be available once reconfigured.
Note: In cases where the device is showing data on the Web Console after vendor OIDs (for example, 1.0.8802.1.1.1.1.1.1), OID 1.3.6.1.2.1 is the only OID that can be processed.
