Overview

Serv-U Legacy login page still showing even if the Allow legacy login UI is disabled after upgrading to the latest version.

Product section

Serv-U Managed File Transfer & Serv-U FTP Server

Cause

When the domain configuration contains Enable Custom HTML = Checked, which appears to force the legacy/custom login behavior. When Enable Custom HTML was changed from Checked to Unchecked, the Modern Login Page loaded successfully.

In the current setup configuration, Enable Custom HTML checkbox was checked by default (Enable Custom HTML = checked).

Resolution

Start the Serv-U Management Console:

1. Navigate to Domain
2. Select Limits & Settings
3. Open the Branding Setup tab
4. Verify the Enable Custom HTML field setting
5. Confirm if the Enable Custom HTML checkbox was checked by default
6. Unchecked the Enable Custom HTML checkbox.
7. Apply the changes by clicking SAVE.
8. Refresh/retest the web client.
