How to resolve an issue where Network Atlas is not showing L2 connections with Connect now

Overview

Users may find that the L2 connections for some devices do not show in the Network Atlas.

Cause

The issue is caused by problems with calculation of the Connect Now function.

Resolution

Open the file calculation.cfg. This can be found in either: c:\programfiles(x86)\solarwinds\orion or: c:\programfiles(x86)\solarwinds\orion\topology
Find the line: <string>RemoveLinksToBridge</string> and delete it.
Run SolarWinds.Orion.Topology.Calculator.exe (also present in the same directory).

Verify results in the Network Atlas after re-opening the map and using the Connect Now function..
