Network Atlas interface icons appear greyed out and non-interactive after upgrading to SolarWinds Platform 2026.1
This article documents a known issue where interface objects that were already placed on Network Atlas maps appear greyed out and cannot be interacted with after upgrading to NPM 2026.1 or 2026.1.1. The issue affects interface objects on existing Network Atlas maps, while nodes on the same maps may continue to behave normally.

This behavior is caused by a known issue in SolarWinds Platform 2026.1 affecting existing interface objects on Network Atlas maps after upgrade.
Resolution
This issue is addressed in SolarWinds Platform 2026.2. Consider upgrading your environment. If you can't upgrade, follow the steps below.

Open the Network Atlas standalone client.

Open the affected map.

Locate the greyed-out interface object on the map.

Remove the affected interface from the map.

Re-add the same interface from the available network objects list.

Save the map.

Repeat the same steps for each affected interface across all impacted maps.
