Navigate through the Serv-U Web Client
This article provides information and a walk-through on how to use the Serv-U Web Client. As of Serv-U version 7, users can connect to the Serv-U server using the HTTP and HTTPS protocols to either the Web Client or FTP Voyager JV. Users can to log in to the file server and access all of their files online without using an external FTP client through the Web Client.

This article provides information and a walk-through on how to use the Serv-U Web Client.
As of Serv-U version 7, users can connect to the Serv-U server using the HTTP and HTTPS protocols to either the Web Client or FTP Voyager JV.
Users can log in to the file server and access all of their files online without using an external FTP client through the Web Client. A file can be uploaded or downloaded at a time. Web Client also has an Image Preview feature. Images can be viewed as thumbnails or slideshows prior to download. A built-in multi media player which streams audio and video to any location is also included.

Log in to the Web Client
Note: To log in to the Web Client, Serv-U must must be configured to listen for HTTP requests. See Serv-U firewall rules for more information.
- Open Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
- Enter the IP address or domain name assigned to Serv-U. A login window opens.
- Enter your default FTP credentials.
You are now logged in to the Web Client.
