Name and E-mail in Serv-U File Sharing is not populating for users via LDAP authentication

The article aims to describe an issue where name and email is not populating when creating send and request file share request.

Overview

These apply to the following scenario:

The user is logging in via LDAP authentication
Creating either send or request files in File Sharing
The name and email fields are not populating correctly or blank
It happens to old and new File Sharing

Cause

Windows Authentication is also enabled. If this is the case, it will mess up the configurations because this type of authentication also pulls information from the AD, like the LDAP.

Resolution

Do not enable Windows Authentication when LDAP is the preferred authentication method or vice versa
The authentication method must be either LDAP or Windows authentication only, not running at the same time
