Expired flows cleanup was skipped during NTA database maintenance

Overview

Events table shows Netflow database maintenance running on alternate days.

Go to directory C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\NTA and check NTADatabaseMaintenance_BusinessLayer.log.
6th April shows expired flows being delete while 7th April is skipped

Cause

Netflow database is running, but skipped expired flows cleanup causes the event not to be recorded. It gives the impression that netflow database maintenance is not running when it is running.

Resolution

Expired flow cleanup is a non vital for NTA maintenance process and can be sometimes skipped for 1 day.
