In this article you will learn how to check the total number of elements you are monitoring using the with Orion diagnostics

Collect system diagnostics

1. RDP to the Main Poller
2. Go to Start > SolarWinds Orion > Orion Diagnostics
3. Click Start. A ZIP file is generated.
4. Right-click the file and select Extract Here.

Check the total number of elements (nodes, interfaces, volumes) polled per server

1. Go to the DB folder.

2. Open the AllEngines.csv file.

Check the number of elements that you are polling per server.

Example below

With the SolarWinds SLX license, you can monitor up to 12,000 elements. Beyond this, additional polling engines on separate servers are recommended to help distribute the work load. For more details, see the Server Sizing recommendations.
