Overview

Large Windows temp directory size could cause system or application performance including other performance-related behavior. In this article, you will learn to clear the C:\Windows\Temp directory when there is any SolarWinds product installed.

Resolution

This must be followed on all SolarWinds Platform Polling Engines. 

  1. Stop all SolarWinds Services with the SolarWinds Platform Service Manager. 
  2. Delete all files and folder in C:\Windows\Temp (Including any SolarWinds folders) 
  3. Once done - Restart the System - Recommended / Or just Start all the SolarWinds Services again.
