NCM 2022.3 Error: Network Share Settings Failure in Binary Config Storage

Overview

For NCM in version 2022.3.0, an error {ServerName}: Unable to contain read-write access to network share specified credential displays, even when the user has read-write access to the Network Share and can RDP to the target server.

NOTE: Using the local admin account will provide the same error.


The NCMBusinessLayerPlugin.Log shows the following error.

Cause

This is a known issue in NCM 2022.3.

Resolution

This is addressed in SolarWinds Version 2023.2. Consider upgrading your environment.
