NCM Default Database and Archive Maintenance job

In order to keep a few of the database tables and the Config Archive folder in check, NCM has the Default Database and archive maintenance job. This article will go over some of the job specific details.

This article provides information on Default Database and Archive Maintenance jobs. One of the roles of these jobs is to keep the database tables and Archive folders in check.

The following are NOT default settings.

The three items to pay more attention to are:

  • The Config Archive is for the Configs stored on the NCM server /Config Archive folder (not the database).  If used, the most it is able to save is 2 years. if not selected, it will not delete any configs.
  • Purge Config Cache Data older than.  This is the data used for charts on the web for differences.
  • Purge job logs.  This is for the data seen when opening the History note on Jobs.
