SolarWinds Platform: Move nodes to the correct polling engine and remove old engine entries with previous IP address
Move nodes to the correct polling engine and remove old engine entries with previous IP address. Two primary polling engines in the SolarWinds Platform are caused by an incorrect Dual (OLD) primary engine entry in the database (Engines table) and the nodes assigned to the old engine entry. To see all nodes are still associated to the old engine, go to Settings > All Settings > Polling Engines.

Overview
This article shows how to move nodes to the correct polling engine and remove old engine entries with previous IP address.
Why are there 2 primary polling engines in the SolarWinds Platform?
There is an incorrect Dual (OLD) primary engine entry. The SolarWinds Platform sees the old polling engine entry, and the nodes are assigned to the old engine entry in the database (Engines table).
To verify the issue, go to Settings > Polling Engines. You can see that all nodes are still associated to the old engine.
