Cause

This is a known issue with Windows 2008 R2 hosts monitored with SAM, or any other product that relies of RPC for performance monitoring.

Resolution

See the Microsoft article Memory leak in the Remote Registry service on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 (© 2020 Microsoft, available at https://support.microsoft.com, obtained on January 21, 2020) and download the hotfix.
