Modify account and usage mailing list of Heroku Papertrail add-on

This article shows how you can modify the default mailing list of a Heroku Papertrail add-on for account and usage notifications.

Overview

By default, the account and usage notifications from a Papertrail add-on go to <team>@herokumanager.com, which Heroku expands to every collaborator/member on the app/team. Given that, there is no actual filtering who should only receive the emails.

Cause

In some cases, you may need to set or filter who is only going to receive those notification emails.

Resolution

To select specific recipients:

Open up the Papertrail add-on
Go to Settings > Usage Notifications
Remove <team>@herokumanager.com from the list
Add the intended recipients to the list
