Missing Switch Connections in Topology Map

In certain cases, the Network Topology Map does not display switch connections consistently. While some devices show their links properly, others appear with missing connection data despite being polled successfully. This issue impacts visibility of network paths and may cause incomplete or inaccurate topology views.

Overview

In the affected topology:

- Some switches are missing connection lines in the map.
- Polling status confirms connectivity, but topology data is incomplete.

A script-based workaround (feeding missing connection data manually) was previously used successfully but has since stopped working.

The SolarWinds Platform has been migrated to another server, carrying over scheduled jobs. These jobs appear to be running successfully (confirmed via job history), but the topology remains incomplete.

This has been identified as a known issue in SolarWinds Platform 2025.1.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in SolarWinds Platform 2025.4. Consider upgrading your environment.

Additional Notes

This issue does not affect device polling or data collection; it only impacts visual representation of topology.
If you depend on topology for troubleshooting and visibility, be aware that not all connections may be displayed until a fix is provided.
