You may see an error that the password is too short when creating a password with fewer than 10 characters for File Share.

Cause

A minimum password length requirement has been implemented to strengthen password security for creating a File Share link in Serv-U since the 15.5.3 version.

Resolution

Serv-U File Share link passwords require a minimum of 10 characters as added security.

Default as shown under the Global level:

Make sure to have a minimum of 10 characters when creating a File Share password.
