Cause

The interface polling statistics is set to 9 minutes by default. When setting the sample interval on the chart to something shorter than the statistics collection interval, lines cannot be generated because the chart is trying to display absent data.

Resolution

The best way to resolve this issue is to adjust the chart and set the sample interval to a time equal to or greater than the statistics polling interval.

If collecting statistics more frequently on select interfaces is essential, then adjust the statistics collection frequency.
  1. Go to the Interface Details page for the target port.inteface.PNG
  2. Set the Collect Statistics to 1 minute.interface2.JPG
  3. Click submit and allow polling to collect data so data going forward will display in one minute intervals.
    • Note: This will increase data in the database and will affect performance. Setting this to all interfaces is not recommended, but make sure the servers have enough resources to handle the load.
