Task manager not showing where memory is leaking from.

You can find hidden non-paged memory leaks that are not displaying in task manger. This is especially helpful when they are using a VM virtual machine.

Overview

These steps can be used to determine what exactly is leaking memory when task manager is not showing it. This can be useful in proving to a customer their memory leak is not a Solarwinds issue.

Cause

VMs are especially prone to this issue due to their added layers of complexity.

Resolution

When there is a hidden memory leak and task manager is not displaying what is using up all the memory. The memory monitor in Task Managers performance tab will give us some idea where the memory usage is going to.
