Add the .MST file to a Group Policy:
- Copy the software installation files (.msi/.mst) to a network share that is accessible to the target hosts to deploy the agent software.
- Configure the permissions on the share to ensure all required users and computers have Read-access to the installation files.
- Locate the container in Active Directory (a site, a domain, or an organizational unit (OU)) where you want to advertise the application and access the container properties.
- Click Group Policy.
- Click New to create a new Group Policy (GPO).
- Expand the Computer Configuration\Software Settings container in the GPO to reveal Software Installation, and then right-click Software Installation.
- Select New > Package.
- Select your MSI package, then select Advanced for the deployment method.
- From the Deployment tab, select the following in the Deployment type/Deployment options section.
Note: Your deployment type/options may be different depending on your network.
- From the Modifications tab, select your MST file from the network share.
- Click OK to complete the setup. The agent is deployed and is registered by Orion (if auto-registration is enabled as defined in the Agent Settings page.
Note: When the installation is successful, the agent will appear in the agent list on the Manage Agents page.
