Manage Nodes and Network Discovery are missing in the Settings drop-down menu

This article addresses an issue in the Orion Web Console that prevents the Manage Nodes and Network Discovery options from displaying in the Settings drop-down menu.

Overview

When a customer opens the Orion Web Console and clicks Settings, Network Discovery and Manage Nodes are missing in the drop-down menu.

Cause

Licensing and Old Server information conflict.

Resolution

  1. Open the Orion Database Manager and locate the following tables.
    • Engines
    • Website
    • OrionServer
  2. Check to see if Old Orion Server is listed in the table.
    If Old Orion Server is listed, delete the entry from the tables.  
  3. Deactivate the license.
  4. Run the License Manager.
