This article describes how to make SNMP traps more readable in Kiwi Syslog Server.

Kiwi Syslog Server will listen on Port 162 for SNMP traps, which are decoded and converted into syslog messages. All SNMP traps come in as a syslog priority. However, they are often unreadable.
They can be made more readable by editing the SNMP settings in the Setup menu, as follows:
In your Kiwi Syslog Daemon | Setup Properties | Inputs | SNMP settings, you will need to amend:
'SNMP field tagging' drop-down value to 'OID=value'.
We also suggest you remove the 'Decoding options' setting 'Show raw OID and value of each variable binding'. You will then be able to see the information in a more readable format.
