After you push an upgrade to a Linux Agent from the Security Event Manager (formerly Log & Event Manager) console, the Update Status field displays a red exclamation mark icon and displays "Error" in the tooltip.

The manager.log file in the CMC shell displays the following error during the agent upgrade attempt. (To view the log file, go to Manager > Showlog.)

Cause

The Linux at command is not installed or was not included with your Linux distribution.

Resolution

The agent upgrade process requires the at command to be installed.

To resolve this issue, do one of the following:

  • Install the package for that command. The process may vary depending on your Linux distribution.
  • Download the updated Linux Agent installer from the Customer Portal and run the installer on the server. See Install the SEM Agent on Linux or Unix for details.
