Overview

Use SolarWinds License Manager to:

  • License Manager is for Dameware, ETS Desk, NTM, PM, ipM, Database Mapper Software, Task Factory, and any Orion based product on a 2016.1 and older platform but not for Serv-U
  • Any Orion Platform 2017.2 or newer will now be using the web-console Web-Based License Manager found on your web-console -here is how to locate it: Settings/All Settings/Scroll to bottom of page - License Manager
  • Migrate licenses from one computer to another without contacting Customer Service
  • Upgrade from one production license level to another
  • Upgrade from evaluation licenses to production licenses
  • Update/sync expired licenses after maintenance renewal

Resolution

1. Login to the Customer Portal.
2. Hover on the Downloads tab > Click on License Manager.
3. Click on "Download License Manager"

4. Run the License Manager Installer with Local Admin rights.
