Resolution

  • When you install the software, SolarWinds recommends using the local administrator account.
  • When you set it up as a service, SolarWinds recommends using the local system account. However, this service account needs the rights and permissions to be able to write to a destination across the network.
  • To be able to allow logs to write to the NAS, use a domain admin account or an account created for the Syslog Server.
