Resolution

The CatTools database is used to store all settings, devices, and activities.

CatTools uses a .kdb extension file for its database. The database uses the Microsoft Jet Database Engine, therefore, the .kdb file can be opened using Microsoft Access  (content provided by Wikipedia, available at https://en.wikipedia.org, obtained on October 9, 2018).

The Database has a max size limit of 2GB. If the database grows larger than this size, it may become corrupted, as this is the max file size for a JET DB. If this is happening, SolarWinds recommends upgrading to the Orion Network Configuration Manager (NCM) for managing your environment.
