When importing custom properties for a long list of entities into SolarWinds Platform, the import fails. Switch to legacy view for custom property management and repeat the import there.

Overview

When you are importing custom properties for a long list of entities into the SolarWinds Platform, the import fails. Switch to legacy view for custom property management and repeat the import there.

Resolution

Log in to the Orion Web Console using an account with administrative privileges.
Click Settings > All Settings > Manage Custom Properties.
On Manage custom properties, click the vertical ellipsis at the top-right and select Switch to legacy view.
Click Import Values and complete the import.
