Important Update for SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) 2023.2 Release

DPA 2023.2 was removed from availability. It is replaced by DPA 2023.2.1, which includes fixes for the issues that caused 2023.2 to be removed.

Overview

DPA 2023.2.1 provides fixes for the connection issues found in DPA 2023.2 that are associated with the latest version of Azure AD. It also fixes issues with table tuning advisors and index advisors, and it includes the improvements released in DPA 2023.2. For more information, see the DPA 2023.2 and 2023.2.1 Release Notes.

To prevent connection and other issues in future releases, we have enriched our testing with additional environmental attributes.

Cause

Known issues in DPA 2023.2.

Resolution

Note: DPA 2023.2.1 can be installed as a stand-alone release. It is not necessary to install 2023.2 first.

Actions Required:

If you already downloaded and installed DPA 2023.2, please upgrade to DPA 2023.2.1 at your earliest convenience.
If you downloaded DPA 2023.2 but have not installed it yet, do not install it. Download and install DPA 2023.2.1 instead.
If you have not yet downloaded DPA 2023.2, be aware that it is no longer available. When you are ready to upgrade, download and install DPA 2023.2.1 instead.
