IPAM: Bulk Update the Location Field for Multiple DHCP Scopes

In IPAM 2026.2, DHCP scope Locations cannot be updated in bulk. The subnet Location and DHCP scope Location are separate fields, so each DHCP scope must be edited individually under My Dashboards > IP Addresses > DHCP & DNS Management > DHCP Scopes.

Overview

IPAM does not currently provide a supported bulk action to update the Location field across multiple DHCP scopes. The Location value must be updated for each scope individually.

Cause

The DHCP Scope Location field is maintained separately from the IPAM Subnet Location field. Updating Location under Manage Subnets & IP Addresses does not update the Location displayed under DHCP & DNS Management > DHCP Scopes.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to My Dashboards > IP Addresses > DHCP & DNS Management.
  2. Select the DHCP Scopes tab.
  3. Select the required DHCP scope and click Edit.
  4. Update the Location field.
  5. Click Update Scope to save the change.
  6. Repeat these steps for each DHCP scope that requires the same Location value.
