How to synchronize Patch Manager (PM) with the Update Server (WSUS)

Overview

Occasionally you may apply some changes to the Update Server (WSUS), for example, add or remove computer groups, and would like to have this information immediately populated in the Patch Manager (PM). This article provides information on how to achieve that by manually synchronizing both servers.

Resolution

To manually synchronize Patch Manager (PM) with the Update Server (WSUS) follow the steps below:

Login to the server and open the Patch Manager console
Expand Enterprise and Update Services
Right-click on desired Update Server and select Refresh Update Server
Patch Manager will initiate update
Check if the information was replicated
