Resolution

Create a new SAM template containing a TCP port monitor.

Log into the Orion web console
Settings > All Settings > SAM Settings > Create New Template
Name the template a unique name
Add a component monitor to your template
Choose the TCP port monitor
Configure the port number
Click the submit button at the bottom of the page

Assign this new template to a desired server.
