Overview

The are several customers obtained multiple Serv-U License Key to apply in numerous Serv-U instances. This article describes  how to find out the registration ID used in the particular Server

Resolution

1.     Remote into Serv-U Server

2.     Locate the Serv-UID.txt file

These files are either stored in:

- Windows Vista/7/8, Server 2008/2012 - C:\ProgramData\RhinoSoft\Serv-U (ProgramData Folder is Hidden in Windows by default)

- Windows 2000/XP, Server 2000/2003 - C:\Program Files\RhinoSoft\Serv-U

3.     Open Serv-UID.txt

4.     That is the registration key apply in your Serv-U

5.     Access the Customer Portal Page
a. You will need to compare the key from the Customer Portal

b.     License>Manage Licenses

c.      To check the Key, click Retrieve Your License Key Information »

d.     Compare which License Key will match on the License Key applied in the Serv-U.
