How to install Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE) agent with preconfigured DRE proxy

When the remote computer has limited or no internet connection, it is still possible to connect using the DRE proxy. If you run the DRE agent installer, it will automatically detect if the machine has no internet connection because it cannot register to the DRE server. See Use the Dameware Remote Everywhere Proxy.

Some administrators want to preconfigure the DRE proxy agent settings to the remote computer, which is possible via the Windows command line.

Dameware Remote Everywhere

Run the following command below when installing the DRE agent with Proxy settings.

Installer.exe /S /R /proxy 111.111.1.1 /proxyport 1234 /proxyusername proxy_user@domain.com /proxypasswd myPassw0rd

Notes: Replace default proxy values here with your correct values for the proxy.

If no username and password are used, remove those two entries (do not leave them blank; remove them). See below.
