How to get to Network Discovery and Manage Nodes if you are not an Administrator

User accounts with administrator rights can navigate to the Settings menu. The Settings drop down is not displayed in the dashboard if the account is non-admin.

Overview

If an account does not have Orion administrator privileges, the Settings drop down is not displayed on the menu list. The Settings drop down includes the Node Discovery and Manage Nodes links. However, you can get to these pages without administrator privileges.

Resolution

If an account does not have Orion administrator rights, the Settings drop down for Network Discovery is not available.

 

You will need to get to Manage Nodes then Network Discovery:

  1. Display a resource that lists nodes (For example, the All Nodes resource on My Dashboards > Home > Summary)
  2. In the upper-right corner of the resource, click Manage Nodes. 
    The Manage Nodes page opens.
  3. In the upper-right corner, click Network Discovery.
