How to export user settings from one account and import them to another in SEM

This article applies to Security Event Manager (formerly Log & Event Manager).

This article details how to copy a user account settings of a console to a different account. The account settings include:

• Widgets in the Ops Center
• Filters in the Monitor view
• Saved Searches in nDepth

1. Log in with the user account whose settings you need to export.
2. On the SEM menu bar, navigate to Manage > Appliances, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, and then choose Export User Settings.
3. Save the file locally.
4. Open a new browser tab, and then log in to SEM using the account receiving the settings.
5. On the SEM menu bar, navigate to Manage > Appliances, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, and then choose Import User Settings.
6. Locate the saved file, and then import it.
