How to download/send configuration backup file of a device over email ID in NCM

Note: NCM includes a Weekly Config Backup job, which is not enabled by default, but can be enabled to back up device configs weekly instead of daily.

 

  1. Navigate to My dashboards > Network Configuration>Jobs
  2. From the job list, you can search for the weekly config backup as shown in the image below and enable it.

 

 

  1. Once enabled, you can configure this job to target the firewall devices and schedule it to run weekly. As shown in the images below.

 

 

  1. You can choose the nodes as per your requirements.

 

 

  1. If you want to save the job file and want to send an email notification, you can choose the required options and fill out the details as shown below.

 

 

  1. Download the config job based on your requirements by checking the options.

 

 

  1. Review the job and click on finish.

 

 

This way, the backup results are automatically sent to the configured email address when the weekly backup completes.
