This article provides steps on how to remove or reset the default password for a map in the Network Topology Mapper.

Resolution

Follow these steps to remove or reset the default map password:

  1. Shutdown NTM.
  2. On the machine where NTM is installed, locate the Credential Manager by going to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.
  3. In the Credential Manager, locate your default NTM credentials: username = NTMuser
  4. Remove the default credentials. 
  5. Restart NTM.
  6. Click 'New Network Scan'.
  7. Enter your new map password.

 

Existing maps will continue to use the original password with which they were created.
