How to delete a target in SQL Sentry

This article will walk through the process of how to delete a target within SQL Sentry.

Overview

This process may vary depending on the type of target that is currently being watched. The example will be based on a SQL Server target. Each target may have 1 or more nodes that will need to be unwatched before the target can be deleted.

SQL Sentry (SQLS)

Resolution

Stop watching the SQL Server Instance node by right-clicking and going to Stop Watching.
Stop watching the Windows node by right-clicking and going to Stop Watching.
Once the entire target shows a gray icon, you can right-click and select Delete Target.
