Resolution

Method 1:

1. Deactivate the additional web service license using the License Manager page.
2. Stop all of the Orion services (on all of the Orion Servers) using Orion Service Manager. See Start and stop Orion services.
3. Open Database Manager. See Use Database Manager to view the SolarWinds database.
4. Open and query the OrionServers and Websites tables.
5. Click Enable Table Editing, right-click on the row for the old Additional Web Server and click delete.
6. Click Execute Query to confirm these rows have been removed from the tables.
7. Start all of the Orion services using Orion Service Manager.
Method 2:

1. Starting with Orion Platform 2019.2, you can run the -uninstall command to remove the entire Orion Platform deployment using the SolarWinds Orion Installer.
  • This command removes your entire Orion deployment from the server on which it runs. Do not use this option to remove only one module.
2. If you deployed scalability engines, run the following steps on your scalability engines (that is, Additional Polling Engines and Additional Web servers) and then repeat the steps on the main polling engine - the Orion Server:
  • In the command line, run the following command:
'path to exe'\SolarWinds.Orion.Installer.exe -uninstall
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete uninstalling your Orion Platform deployment.
  • All Orion Platform products are removed, including all relevant registry entries and folders.
