How to create an alert for physical memory RAM depletion
This article explains how to create an alert that triggers when the RAM on a node exceeds a certain number or percentage of use (such as 90%).

- Log in to the Orion Web Console.
- Click Settings > All Settings.
- Under Alerts and Reports, click Manage Alerts.
- Click Add New Alert.
- Complete the Properties window, and click Next.
- In the Trigger Condition page, complete the following steps:

Click the "I want to alert on" drop-down menu and select VOLUME.
Under The scope of alert, select All objects in my environment. -

Under the Actual trigger condition, click the drop-down menu and select All child conditions must be satisfied (AND).
- Create two child conditions:
- Node + Memory Used + Is greater than or equal to + [Any number]
- Volume + Volume Type + Is equal to + RAM
- Node + Percent Memory Used + Is greater than or equal to + 90%
- Volume + Volume Type + Is equal to + RAM
- (Optional) Add other conditions if applicable. For example, if you want to generate RAM depletion alerts for Windows nodes, add: Node + Vendor + Contains + Windows
- Click Next.
