How to create alert for EIGRP neighbor status change in the Orion Platform

Follow the steps to know how to configure alerts for EIGRP in the Orion Web Console.

Resolution

  • Log into the Orion Web Console.
  • Navigate to Alert & Activity> Alerts> Manage alerts> Create a new alert.
  • Give a name for the alert.
  • Enter the trigger condition as follows:

By selecting status as not equal to up, you will get an alert when the status changes from up to anything else.

  • You can leave the reset condition and time of the day as it is.
  • Under trigger action, you can choose to get an email for the alert.
  • Under reset action, you can leave as it is or choose to get an email when the status changes back to up.
  • Click next through the summary page and hit submit.

By performing the above steps, you will have an alert whenever the status changes for EIGRP.
