How to create a High CPU Utilization Alert in the SolarWinds Platform

This article provide the information to create CPU Utilization alerts in the SolarWinds Platform.

1. On the SolarWinds Platform Web Console, go to Settings > All Settings > Manage Alerts.
2. Click Add New Alert:

3. Name the alert, set the other fields as desired, and click Next.
4. In The Actual Trigger Condition section, click the drop-down menu for Select Field and select CPU Load:

5. Change Is Equal to to Is Greater than or Equal to and set the desired percentage at which you wish the alert to be triggered:

6. Follow onscreen instruction to define the trigger and reset action according to your requirement, the reset condition "Reset this alert when trigger condition is no longer true", is the recommended reset condition. Refer Alert actions available in the SolarWinds Platform for more detail about the alert actions.
